Two pop stars have revealed their battles with alcohol, according to a report.
In an article co-written by Boyzone for the Daily Star, the band admit they have had problems with drinking.
The story suggests duo Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham both drank alcohol regularly.
It claims: "Shane was pretty much an alcoholic, drinking from the moment he got up. Mick was the same and became a recluse for a while."
The article also states fellow boyband member Stephen Gately was involved with "drinking and anti-depressants".
According to the news provider, the group are now "older and wiser" with families and responsibilities.
In a separate article for the newspaper written by the band, Mr Lynch apologises for swearing at the 2000 MTV Awards, admitting he had "had a few pints to calm his nerves".
The singer, who is now reunited with Boyzone and set to head out on a 2009 tour with the group, also offered to present a prize at the next MTV ceremony, which is to be held in Liverpool next month, the news source adds.
