After losing his son to drug abuse, a father has spoken out about the dangers of heroin addiction.
According to the South Wales Evening Post, father-of-four John Lewis, of the Gower, lost his son Donald to drugs in July.
Since his son's death, the grieving dad has spent his time organising a memorial concert in a bid to stop more young people falling prey to addiction.
The local newspaper claims the event organised by Mr Lewis raised £700, which he donated to a local Thai boxing club his son had been a member of.
He told the Post: "I hope the money raised for the club would help to keep other children off the streets and have something to do instead of drugs."
Donald had become a heroin addict at the age of 16, explained Mr Lewis, and died the month he was due to fight a boxing match in Cardiff.
