A man from Stourport who died following a heroin abuse incident has sparked concerns from police the drugs he was taking may have been contaminated, it has been reported.
Officers are urging people who know anything to come forward, as there may be more of the batch the two drug users took in circulation, according to the Kidderminster Shuttle.
The issue may be in the substances supplied in the Wyre Forest area.
Detective constable Steve Cook told the publication: "Drug users experiencing any unusual symptoms should seek urgent medical attention."
According to the newspaper, paramedics were unable to revive the 32-year-old man after he collapsed and his female companion was taken to hospital for drugs treatment and later released.
The police emphasised the importance of halting the provision of drugs in the area and for anyone with information to contact them.
In other news, the BBC recently reported the price of cocaine has dropped over the last few years, but so has the quality, which could have dangerous implications for those taking it.
