A new rehab center is being opened by the Springs Rescue Mission in Colorado, which could help more drug addicts to tackle their problem.
The mission is opening a $1.4 million (£981,000) rescue center in the region as part of its rehabilitation treatment programme for convicted drug addicts and homeless people.
It is hoped the new property will help get many addicts back on the road to recovery and help them to defeat their addiction problems, with a focus on meeting people's individual needs.
"It's not an easy program; it takes a lot of devotion and time," Joshua Staton, who has been through the mission's rehabilitation scheme, told the Colorado Springs Gazette.
He described it as a "worthy" scheme, adding that he was given the opportunity he needed to deal with his problems.
A growing number of rehab clinics across the world are choosing to implement tailored programs designed to ensure patients receive the treatment that is appropriate for them.
Many clinics use one-to-one sessions to deal with personal issues and help addicts get to the root of their problems, focussing not only on their addictions but also the reasons behind those issues.
