Award-winning Australian actress Nicole Kidman has spoken of the hard work her husband, country singer Keith Urban, has done in tackling his problem since he went into alcohol rehab.
She told US magazine Parade how his alcohol disorder became apparent just three months into their marriage, saying she has been "to hell and back but there is hope".
The Moulin Rouge-star said the determination to the task of kicking the habit he had shown was "amazing" and commented they had had to work together to keep the recovery process going.
Kidman said to the publication: "The addiction takes control of the life, its terrifying."
She commented they had reached a level of peace and humility, after baring their souls, and she was grateful for the progress Urban has made.
In other news, frontman of US rock band Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page, has been ordered to undergo a drug rehab course if the felony charges against him for cocaine possession are to be waivered.
