A prostitute working in Norfolk has spoken to a local newspaper regarding the path which led to her present occupation and why teenagers should not go down the same route.
'Sophie', who works in Norwich, has responded in the Norwich Evening News to a revelation reported last month that there is a growing number of 16-year-olds prostituting themselves in the city.
According to the 35-year-old, having a ten-year heroin addiction resulted in her falling into the illegal trade and her role as a sex-worker now directly funds her drug abuse.
She told the publication: "It isn't a game, I do it because I have to, I need the money and I hate it. I started using through an ex-partner who was very violent."
The prostitute says she goes out on the streets only as much as required to pay for her habit.
Recently, the Scotsman reported drug dealer Stephen Corns was caught dealing heroin in Edinburgh after being released early from an 18-month sentence for the same offence.
