A new start is one of the things attending rehab clinic facilities can provide those with an alcohol or drug addiction, a detox centre states.

The Cliffside Malibu claims people often experience a moment in which they feel their life is out of control and says this provides them with the opportunity for change.

Using the example of drink driving, it states those involved in a car accident caused by this will often realise they have a problem and use this to seek help.

The centre emphasises the importance of entering a non-judgemental environment in which alcohol detox can take place.

"Personnel are technically equipped with the best tools needed to help an alcoholic pinpoint the root of the problem and make that all important first step towards recovery," the rehab clinic states.

The Cliffside Malibu centre says the range of former attendees who have used its facilities can help remove the social stigma of being treated for alcoholism.

In other news, the SouthCoast recovery clinic has launched a new scheme designed to deal with people who have become dependent on Adderall.

The drug rehabilitation scheme is designed to tackle the underlying issues which lead people to develop these problems.
