A Connecticut rehab clinic is helping people beat their heroin addictions through the development of new addiction recovery programs.
The Mountainside Drug rehab and alcohol treatment Center is focusing on the rising problem of cocaine addiction in the US over recent times, with the drug now the country's second most commonly abused drug after marijuana.
According to the organization, a wide variety of addiction treatment methods are on offer for patients suffering from cocaine addictions and key to the initiative is getting the patients themselves to fully engage with their treatment programs.
"Working with their counselors, residents are able to take advantage of a long list of treatment initiatives designed to appeal to individual tastes and preferences," the organization explains.
As the rehab center points out, although all traces of cocaine will leave the body within three to four days, the mental problems associated with cocaine abuse can last for years, which is why a tailored service providing patients with access to counselors can be one of the best ways to help people beat their addiction once and for all.
Many rehab clinics recognize the importance of offering tailored services to patients with drug addictions.
Some organisations use various methods, such as acupuncture or mountain walks to help take patients' minds off their problems and alleviate stress.
